Netanyahu would be arrested if he came to Hungary, says new PM
Hungary’s incoming Prime Minister Peter Magyar has said Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu would be arrested if he enters Hungary, citing the country’s obligations as a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Magyar also pledged to stop Hungary’s planned withdrawal from the ICC, signaling a sharp policy shift after Viktor Orban’s long rule. Netanyahu has been wanted by the ICC since November 2024 over alleged war crimes in Gaza.
